If you have been a long time reader of mine you may recognize these pictures. I blogged about this a while back on my old blog, but I still feel it’s relevant today. So I tested that theory on our Instagram and WHAM, it got a whole lotta likes!
Since WG has a slew of new readers who haven’t seen the rest of the set, I decided to bring it back. Plus, I still have those boots! Sydney wore them here last fall.
Suited and Booted. That’s a term my new daughter-in-law’s sister taught me when I was in London last. It means dressed up, and may in fact only apply to men, but that’s never stopped me from borrowing a term before. I thought it was appropriate for today’s post so I’m using it.
Suited and Booted:
Dresses/Nighties-Joe Fresh; Jacket-White House Black Market (old); Boots-Mia (found for a steal at Nordstrom’s Rack); Bag-Vintage & Thrifted; Necklace-Designs by Shelagh
Now if you do remember this post from before, then you know this dress isn’t actually a dress. It’s two Joe Fresh nighties that I layered to make a dress. Take that pj dressing trend! Except no one would know I’m wearing pjs unless I told them.
With the Calgary Stampede fast approaching, this ensemble is going into my Stampede Suitcase. Yes, I know I’m a little early to pack for that, especially since I’ll be in Europe for three weeks then home for a month before it even starts. But I had to miss Stampede last year due to illness, so I guess I have a little bit of Stampede fever right now.
That said, I dress like this often, not just for Stampede, so perhaps I should consider changing the name of this blog to Suited and Booted!
Are you heading to Calgary for Stampede this year? If so, let me know so we can arrange another meet up like we had when I met Shelagh of Designs by Shelagh, and Cathryn from The Farmer’s Trophy Wife. Plus Stacy and Jessica…too much fun. Let’s do it again!
