Coco Chanel has to be most fashion obsessed girls ultimate mentor (Kelly Cutrone a close 2nd for me) From a iconic style to an attitude that was ahead of her time, the name Chanel conjures visions of timeless elegance and femininity.

With the GENIUS Karl Lagerfeld at the reins of Chanel, the Spring 2010 Ready-to-Wear collection had an almost farm girl meets high society feel. With colors reminiscent of water colors, fab dresses that had just the right poof, and CLOGS done with panache, the Chanel look could easily crossover to some gorgeous cowgirl looks for Spring and summer.

Jean Paul Gaultier may not be a name uttered in many western circles. But Gaultier is a a designer that appeals to the notion that fashion is more than clothes you put on but its truly art in wearable form. Though his awe-inspiring runway creations may not make sense for everyday, the feeling they create can be a great influence on our daily style. Today I am going to show you how Gaultier and cowgirls can live in gorgeous harmony.

Jean Paul Gaultier’s collaboration with Target was just unveiled the 7th after great anticipation. The pieces have a almost punk feel with a bit of Parisian sass! Perfect to pair with some rock inspired western pieces.

We focus so much on ourselves, we sometimes forget about the Cowboys in our life. Whether it’s deciding to buy that cute Coach purse instead of a Shotgun or a hot pair of jeans instead of replacing his worn out rags he wears everyday. Today, we are going to focus on him what his needs are, because sometimes it’s important to step back and remember who the man of the house is and that we need to treat him every now and then. Or if you are a Cowboy reading this, maybe you are needing to replace those worn out boots that either need to be resoled or trashed!

The men in our lives can be ranch Cowboys who dress up in the typical Cowboy gear everyday or maybe he needs something to wear when he takes you out in your little black dress. We’ve got it all right here!

Sometimes we have to stop and remember that Cowboy in our life. Whether it is a gift for your dad, your husband, or even just that special someone for a birthday or just because. Men like to receive things too, especially when they need it!

After all, Men can Live Life in the Fashion Lane, too….we just have to help them out a little bit!

Reese Witherspoon, really what can you say about her that we don’t already know? She is down to earth, super gorgeous in workout clothes or all dressed up, and she seems to be a great mom. If you didn’t know she was one of the highest paid celebrities in Hollywood, you would think she was just like you!

Today on Cowgirl in the City we check out a very easy to put together look. Simple, but yet you can wear it out with the girls or as you run around town, whichever!

Start with a good long sleeve shirt, being a Cowgirl, many of us have a ton of these in our closets and may not have to go far to find one. But if you’d like a fitted one, try something like this.

I love decorating even though it can be very overwhelming sometimes. With the right pieces it’s actually easier than one would expect, but for most of us we still have some of those hand me down pieces that we don’t like and go with nothing. Those are the things that make it a little more challenging! Otherwise, the right pieces can be moved and rearranged and look fabulous anywhere!

Today we are going to look at some fabulous pieces that hopefully you can use in your living room, bedroom, or even kitchen with ease. And remember, have fun decorating. If you aren’t sure about a piece, leave it there overnight…you’ll know in the morning.

Remember to have fun with it and change it around every now and again, especially if you’ve been in the same house for awhile!

When I was invited to guest blog at Western Glamour, I immediately thought of an old Vogue with a stunning Charlize Theron gracing the cover in…you guessed it…WESTERN WEAR! Charlize is the perfect mixture of totally glam but approachable style with a Southern twist…and these days, it seems the fashion world is clamoring for all things cowgirl too.

Recently, Givenchy debuted gilded cowgirl boots, Alessandro Dell’Acqua inspires with a fringed suede batik clutch, Gryphon showed an Native American-inspired black suede fringed coat…and just about everyone is mad for plaid! While there is a plethora of options on what to wear, putting looks together while staying wardrobe malfunction-free can be tough. With a little magic using the fashion fixes from Bristols 6, I have put together a “How to Wear It” guide for all you cowgirl fashionistas looking for a quick solution for your style dilemmas.

DILEMMA #1: Paula Deen’s recipes got the best of you, and now your true blues are significantly snugger in the waist and uncomfortable.

DILEMMA #2: Your New Year’s resolution was to drop a few pounds. You’re now in-between jean sizes but don’t want to wrangle up some extra dinero for a new pair.

SOLUTION: Adjust-A-Button for Denim, $18

WHY IT WORKS: Breath a sigh of relief and relax – this pin-style instant button for jeans gives you the perfect fit in a matter of seconds. Extending or reducing waistbands up to 1.5” is as easy as inserting a pin – when wearing your jeans, look down and place the Adjust-A-Button to the left of the original button to extend and the right to tighten.
