admin July 29th, 2010 No Comments

Anyone who has read my posts knows I am addicted to finding the newest and most fabulous beauty treatments and gadgets. So when offered the chance to review the Personal Microdermabrasion system, I was beyond excited. Whether living a small town sans spas or cutting costs, being able to duplicate this treatment applause worthy.

Skin Deep Beauty

I have an obsession with beauty products. If you have ever read this blog, you already know that though. My biggest obsession lies in the form of skin care products. In my opinion, there is NOTHING that can make a woman more or even less beautiful than the condition of her skin. For cowgirls in particular, our skin deserves pampering. From dirt and grime from the barn, unforgiving weather, and hard work galore, we are a skin care line’s dream test group.

From Ranch To Glam

admin November 24th, 2009 No Comments

You have all been asking for it for quite awhile now.  You all wanted to see some fabulously glam makeovers taking a cowgirl from simple to simply fabulous! I personally love doing makeovers and have decided that the perfect time to offer this was now.  Just in time for my  trip to Las Vegas, I found my first willing   victim participant.  The oh so lovely and talented Jenny from Ubetcha Apparel had been offering so kindly to let me play Dr.Frankenstein on her and give her a big style update.

I will be covering every step in the process and showing you along way how you can make these updates yourself at home.  But before tthe fun begins let’s meet Jenny and learn why she wants this makeover.

Why Jenny want’s a makeover?

The picture of glam, at least in my mind, is not a lady wearing men’s
jeans, shirts and boots, a baseball cap and a dirty old Carhart jacket,
day in and day out. Having spent most of my life in that very outfit, I
really feel it’s time for a change. I’ve always been very interested in
fashion, but dressing myself in anything other than the before mentioned
attire was, to be honest, a nightmare. Nothing seems to fit, everything
is to revealing, I don’t know what my best feature is, or how to even
accentuate it. And lets not even get into hair and makeup. I’ve worn the
same makeup and hair style for the last 4 years. I love the color of my
hair, but honestly, styling it into anything outside of the same 2
styles is beyond my capabilities. And smoky eyes? What goes where? And
how do you get it to stay?

Also, in the interest of reaching my own career goals, I know my current
look just isn’t going to cut it. I don’t make a big lasting impression.
People remember me as the “girl next door” when I really want them to
remember me as the hot, confident UBetcha Girl, that companies buy
trendy western tee’s from. An updated look would definitely make getting
my product into the door a lot easier.

Oh my dear Jenny, DO I HAVE PLANS FOR YOU!!!  Stay tuned for step one coming next week!

Whether you are the queen of the Aqha World Show, gettin’ glitzy at NFR in vegas, or looking stunning in the herd at the NCHA futurity, this is a cowgirl’s time of year to shine! There is something about big events  and glittering Christmas lights that just gets me feeling all glamorous and fabulous!

Now the question is my dear fashionistas, are you ready to make a statement? Are your wardrobes set? Do you need a little oomph in the beauty department?

Pucker Up Pretty Girl

admin November 6th, 2009 No Comments

Soon the mistletoe will be hung and you will be puckering up to plant a kiss on some handsome cowboy. But with glitter_lipscold winds and dry air from furnaces or wood stoves our lips can get parched and cracked. But no fear, you gorgeous western divas, we can perk up our puckers and irresistibly  kissable in a snap.

There are so many amazing treatments for our lips these days, it would almost be criminal not to try them out. From rich buttery balms, sweet sugar scrubs, and age defying potions, there is a serious arsenal out there to perk up your kiss. The truth is we have come a long way from carmex and chapstick. Lip balms and glosses are scented and taste deliciously. They plump, condition, and shine all in one pretty swipe.  Seriously I am convinced that lip treatments and anything related to pretty puckers are the most important accessory you can carry in your purse.

Here are my picks for perfect lip service.
