Those that appreciate the opinions of others please proceed….all others please continue down the hall,  up the stairs,  and through the pink door to a special place with gumdrops and chocolate fountains. Ohh…wait….Chocolate fountains, that’s where I’ll be, in the “Special Place”.

I am only here to share information of trends that I do not set. However, I happen to totally agree with them. As an owner of a  small cowgirl-inspired boutique myself, I feel this ‘bling’ trend sliding backwards.  It has done this  since the day I opened my business, but I needed something to do. Don’t mistake me…bling is fun and bling is still here.  Haven’t you seen Carrie Underwood’s engagement ring? What would a woman’s world be without Rhinestones, Glitter, Sequins, DIAMONDS, and Chocolate Fountains (it’s irrelevant to bling but important nonetheless), I suspect you get the idea.   As women we love anything shiny unless it’s an iron or an oven.

Wearing ‘bling’ is okay but the layer upon layer of blinging accessories on top of a rhinestone embellished t-shirt, rhinestone cap, and rhinestone embellished purse, with the rhinestone flat wallet and rhinestone embellished flip flops can become blinding.  All of these items are absolutely perfect, don’t mistake my words.  This spring I want you to wear the flip flops but let them stand out.  Most of your attire is probably shined out by the glare of rhinestones.  Like every spring when the snow covered dead land comes peeking out with a hint of fresh green grass, let your accessories peek out this spring and sparkle loudly as they stand alone.  Here are some great pieces that do not have rhinestones but would be great to add a necklace, shirt, or bracelet that did have rhinestones!

All of these great items will look terrific with a little ‘bling’.   This spring if you go bling crazy try toning it down and going a little more simple.  If you don’t like it, shoot put it all back on, won’t hurt my feelings any!

Now, if you just love to wear all the rhinestone bling and are determined to ignore this post I say – you go right ahead honey!  Do what makes you happy, wear what is you, because after all….it’s is all about YOU darling, well and ME!

Oh, and for those of you who haven’t seen Carrie Underwood’s engagement ring….see it and weep!
