My life is an adventure, there is no denying that.  Maybe its because we live in a rural area and don’t get out much, that subconsciously we must create our own excitement. Or maybe its the fact our home is a mad house made up of a toddler, baby on the way, horses, cows, goats, dogs, a hamster, clients, and the list goes on. Either way, anyone who says the country life is a boring doesn’t know what they are talking about.  Yesterday, a simple day turned into an adventure. The plan was simple; drive 2 hours to stock up for the holidays and experience the Holiday Taste Of Sam’s Club.

Let’s set the stage before even setting out on this culinary adventure.  Thursday, my dear son dunked my beloved blackberry in a glass of apple juice, destroying  my plan to tweet my way through Sam’s Club.  Friday morning before setting out on our journey, my overworked laptop finally had enough and decided that Western Glamour was not the job for her.  (lets all have a moment of silence for these two much loved pieces of my daily life.  They are now being replaced by someone more up for the challenge and possible waterproof) After drying my tears, we set out on our drive with shopping list in hand and pregnancy cravings in check.

Upon arriving, we found we had luckily beat the rush and found the store not as crowded as one would expect.  Right through the front door was the first sampling station. After a 2 hour drive, this was a welcomed site.  We sampled everything from chicken sausage to cheescake. The special of the day was ham and mashed potatoes, that I highly recommend. After sampling a few different things, we even added some new additions to our holiday dinner we weren’t expecting too.  We will definitely be going back before Christmas as we spied several gifts perfect for a few people on our list.
