Barn Fit For A Princess..

There is something about barns. No matter the size, I love the energy in them. I even love the smell. You know that mixture of hay, grain, clean shavings, and of course horses. I have also always believed a perfectly bottled version of the tackroom smell would make millions. My dream has always been to have one of those barns that is awe-inspiring. Not only does it house great animals but it sets the mood with its magnificent appearance.
Today, I came upon a site featuring some barns truly fit for a glam cowgirl!
I would love to hear what you dream about in a barn?

We bought our land for the barn not the house. LOL!! Last year we got to redo the barn after a wind storm. It’s pretty nice now, but way not like above. And I now have new neighbors that recently built their barn and indoor areana, yet to build the house. LOL!! But rumor has it the barn has a chandlier in the entry way. Yes! Crystal and all. Very glam. Full mirros in the arean to see what you are doing. (course my horses would freak at tht!) I’m to jealous to visit. Other neighbor has though and told me all about it. They spent major bucks. But I don’t mind. Made my property values go up and it’s not a subdivision. LOL! It’s great to live in the middle of such great horse folks!
I could probably go back and find pictures I drew as a child on this subject. My friend and I used to spend hours designing our dream barns for one day when we were rich. Hmmm. Yup, still dreaming.
I have always wanted a house and barn connected. I know, I know…the noise, the smell. I would be in heaven. My dream barn would have drop down feeders. I could get out of bed, walk into the barn loft in my jammies, drop hay and grain directly from above and go right back to bed!
We hope to build a barn next year- but it will simply be a 100 x 100 completely enclosed indoor arena. On one end I intend to put 6 14 x 14 stalls. And in a few years we’ll put a house on one side, with a deck out to the barn, entrance from the house to barn, with a big picture window to the arena as well.
Should be Fabulous. Now. I should get busy and sell some horses to pay for this endeavor!
