Lynn Reardon and her amazing organization Lope Texas hold a special place in my heart. I truly can connect with Lynn on her love and dedication to ex-racehorses, seeing that some of the most influential horses in my life were thoroughbreds and had careers after the racetrack.

The first horse I ever bought all by myself in my early twenties ( I had lots of horses growing up but its such a big moment to buy one on your own). He was a horse no one wanted, he had numerous “quirks”, and he was my equine soul mate. I worked tirelessly everyday with him and we built a bond unlike one I had ever had. He had his quirks and was rather menacing to those who did not realize he was really just a big bluffer.  The day I sold him so I could start a new chapter in my life was one of the hardest days in my life, but because of him I am a better rider and person in general.

Lynn’s story is one truly remarkable and her journey with these horses is finally getting the attention it deserves with her book, Beyond The Homestretch, becoming available in November.
