Denim by far is the main staple of a glam cowgirl’s wardrobe. As I work on the fall fashion guide, I became curious, What are your favorite brand of jeans?

Awe Inspiring Anderson Bean Boots

admin August 18th, 2009 1 Comment

The past few seasons the tops of our boots have become something worthy of lengthy conversation. Vibrant colors, inlaid delicacies, and embellishments galore.  Whether you prefer  more delicate details such as beautiful stitching or go for the WOW factor with colorful tops that tell a story, there is a style of boot for everyone embracing this trend.  I am tactile person, so different textures appeal greatly to me.  So when I laid my eyes upon some of Anderson Bean‘s new styles, my heart began to flutter.

Just take a look at these runway worthy styles. Make sure to visit Anderson Bean‘s website for so many more styles.

The true joy of this trend is the versatility. Don’t feel like popping your tops, just slip on a pair of jeans and keep the fabulousness undercover.

What A Way To Spend An Evening…

admin August 17th, 2009 1 Comment

My dear husband went out of town this morning at 2 am!! Leaving little man and I to fend for ourselves for a few days. Now I will be honest , I hate when my husband goes out of town.  Completely dread and despise it! After several years of working and living together, I am almost comforted by even his most annoying traits.  There is one plus though about his traveling. I can have the ultimate girly spa evenings without any smirks or commentary.  The sight of a home waxing kit and face mask brings out M’s inner comedian that only the male species would find humorous.

So after little man is bathed, fed, and tucked in, I can have a little “me” time. UNINTERRUPTED!!  Oh what a concept!  By the time my dear cowboy returns, I will be refreshed and looking more glam then ever before.

Here are some key ingredients for the ultimate at home spa night!

Cowgirls Gone Grilling

admin August 14th, 2009 3 Comments

Summer may be coming to a close, quicker than most of us would like, but I assure you this recipe is perfect for those hot summer nights and equally fitting for a fall tailgate party.  As a busy work at home mom, I am always looking for a recipe that taste like it took hours of preparation, but in fact is quite simple!

On of my favorite companies to turn to is Sargento!  My favorite recipe of theirs is hands down, Zesty Chipolte Burgers!

Looks Delicious!!!

SERVES 8

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 2 cups medium salsa, divided
  • 1 cup chopped green onions, divided
  • 1 cup finely crushed tortilla chips, divided
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 8 hamburger buns, split
  • 8 slices Sargento® Deli Style Sliced Chipotle Cheddar Cheese

Directions:

  1. Combine ground beef, 1 cup salsa, 1/2 cup green onions, 1/2 cup tortilla chips, garlic salt and chili powder in large bowl. Shape beef mixture into 8 patties, 4 inches in diameter and 1/2-inch thick. Preheat grill or broiler.
  2. Grill patties, 5 minutes each side or until no longer pink in center (see below). Grill or lightly toast hamburger buns. Top patties with 1 slice cheese before removing from grill or broiler; let melt.
  3. Place patties on buns. Top with remaining salsa, tortilla chips and green onions.

Fabulous Friday Finds

admin August 14th, 2009 1 Comment

Boy, has it been a crazy week!  Every time I turned around there was a new addition to my to-do list and I can promise some of those little tasks fell through the cracks. I can promise I forgot to return some calls and several emails may have to wait till next week. Amidst the hustle and bustle a fashionista knows she needs to take a few minutes to breathe some fresh air and pet her pretty ponies.  So that is what I did on Thursday. I also squeezed in lunch out with my favorite two cowboys. Oh life is sweet….

Speaking of sweet, I found some tasty little morsels to celebrate the end of the week with. My mind is drifting towards autumn and each of these finds are perfect for the upcoming season.
